Visual Dyslexia Representation 1
What is being shown here is the removal of visual information in a horizonal manner where the middle of all the words are obscured and seem to be missing. Cases where the missing information is aligned along the top or bottom of the words also occurs.

Using this image as a stand alone example without a discussion would be misleading. First of all when a dyslexic looks at the whole page there isn't a horizonal grid of missing information that removes the middle of every line. If you think of this image as sort of a line by line time lapsed photography built up as the dyslexic tries to read a page, that would probably be closer to reality.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Another issue is the question of print size. You have to understand that the size of what is obscured stays the same regardless of print size. Many visual dyslexics would not need the See Right Dyslexia Glasses if they read very large print because the proportion of obscurred information would be less.

The source of this type of problem would be a horizonal band of autofluorescent proteins in the eye.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If instead of being horizontal the missing information was at a different orientation then a different pattern would emerge. Now some letters would not be affected at all while others would be removed almost entirely. This is actually the case where I have described the problem as missing letters at the beginning, middle or ends of words.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------
Because there are many different orientations that leave some or most letters unaffected missing letters are more common than the image shown with a horizsontal representation.
